Our Privacy Commitment

Given the sensitive nature of our journalism and advocacy work, we take extraordinary measures to protect our visitors. We use privacy-focused analytics that collect no personal information, set no cookies, and cannot identify individual users.

What We DO Collect (Anonymously)

We use Umami, an open-source, privacy-focused analytics platform. It collects only:

Page views:Which pages are visited (not who visits them)
Referrer:How visitors found us (search, social, direct)
Browser type:General browser category (Chrome, Firefox, etc.)
Country:Approximate country based on request, not stored

No Cookies Policy

Unlike most websites, we do not use cookies of any kind. This means:

  • No cookie consent banner needed (we have nothing to consent to)
  • No tracking across sessions or websites
  • Full GDPR, CCPA, and PECR compliance by default
  • No data shared with third parties (Google, Facebook, etc.)

Data Sovereignty

All analytics data is processed on our own infrastructure. We do not use:

Google Analytics
Facebook Pixel
Twitter/X tracking
LinkedIn Insight
TikTok Pixel
Any ad networks

As an independent journalism platform focused on Korean peace and reunification, we understand that our visitors may face varying levels of scrutiny. Whether you're:
